  • Does an employee need to be screened before returning to work?

Yes. Employees who are asked not to come to work due to COVID-19 exposure will have to be cleared by their health care provider and also notify the UHealth hotline at 305-243-8378. The hotline is available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is staffed by UHealth nurses who can provide guidance. Employees who are required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days must also contact their HR Partner.

  • Hiring Freeze Guidance

As previously communicated, there will be hiring freeze on all currently posted positions, vacant positions, and any new positions at least through December of 2020. To submit a request, please complete the COVID-19 Hiring Freeze Exception Request Form for leadership review.

  • Candidate Virtual Interview Guidance

HR strongly encourages hiring managers conducting candidate interviews for critical positions to do so through our existing video conferencing technology.

For more information on these technologies and a list of FAQs, please review the Academic and Business Continuity (for faculty, staff, and students) webpage.

  • TALK Performance Evaluations

To support managers who are unable to complete FY20 final TALK performance evaluations because of COVID-19 related activities, we have postponed the deadline until further notice. However, if you do have time during this period, we encourage you to work on the assessments in Workday. For more information on TALK, click here. Leadership is currently assessing how this pandemic will impact merit increases and once decisions are made, additional details will be provided in a subsequent communication.
