Immunizations for Foreign Travel | The guidelines by which vaccines are covered are those recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Click here for more information. |
HPV Vaccine | Three dose series for ages 9 to 26. |
Women's Preventive Coverage | Breast cancer risk-reducing medications (restrictions apply). Annual exam and pap smear. Certain oral contraceptives at no cost, along with free breastfeeding supplies. Click here for more information. |
Breast Cancer Screening | One screening or diagnostic mammogram annually, based on doctor’s recommendation. Includes breast ultrasound. Click here to view a list of mammography centers in South Florida. |
Prostate Cancer Screening | Prostate Specific Antigen and Digital Rectal Examination annually, based on doctor’s recommendation. |
Osteoporosis Screening | Bone densitometry every two years, based on doctor’s recommendation. |
Colorectal (Colon) Cancer Screening | Annual colonoscopy, fecal occult blood test, flexible sigmoidoscopy, or double barium enema based on doctor’s recommendation. |
Skin Cancer Screening | Annual skin screening exam with a UM dermatologist. Call 305-243-6704. |
Annual Eye Exam | Annual eye exam with an Aetna/EyeMed or Bascom Palmer Eye Institute optometrist or ophthalmologist. Click here for more information about the vision benefit. |
Lung Cancer Screening | Lung cancer screening for smokers beginning at age 55 or with doctor's referral, regardless of age. (restrictions apply). |
Smoking Cessation Medications | Prescription or over-the-counter medications when prescribed by the a health care provider. |
