To ensure the safety of our workforce, the University of Miami / Miller School of Medicine / UHealth (UHealth) System encourages that all faculty and staff receive an influenza (flu) vaccination annually. Faculty and staff who work in patient care areas and choose not to be vaccinated will be required to wear a mask while at work during the flu season. If an accommodation is needed, an exemption for religious or medical reasons will need to be approved prior to being hired.

Medical School and UHealth employees that are local will have their drug screening conducted at the Employee Health Office on the day of your pre-employment appointment. If you are out of town, you will receive an email from our background vendor SterlingBackcheck to take your drug screening within 72 hours.Once you have completed and cleared your pre-employment drug screening and background check, you will receive an email from our payroll system to complete some additional onboarding requirements.
